Premium Stone Sealer StoneprotecT SP5000 is a concrete and stone sealer designed for all absorbent stone types. Unlike conventional polymer or siloxane-based stone sealers, SP5000 does not merely bond or fill the open-pored surfaces, but rather employs a 2-Phase depth technology. This formulation penetrates deep into the open-pored stone capillaries and forms a protective structure within. The result is a long-lasting lotus effect both on and within the stone itself, minimizing the penetration of dirt into the capillaries. This allows dirt accumulating on the surface to be removed more easily, and the treated surfaces will maintain their clean appearance for years thanks to the Stoneprotect 2-phase long-term technology.

StoneprotecT SP5000 is a water-based formulation that does not affect the external appearance of the treated surface. Even as the visible effect wears off over time, the Stoneprotect sealant retains its effectiveness within the stone for many years. The visible effect can be easily refreshed at any time within minutes if desired.

StoneprotecT SP5000 reduces water penetration on all absorbent substrates, greatly decreasing the degree of soiling. If the visible effect wears off, SP5000 can simply be applied on top of the existing sealant. It is recommended to refresh the sealant at least once a year for optimal results.

The yield of StoneprotecT stone sealing varies depending on the type of stone being treated, as factors such as absorbency, stone nature, and surface structure all play a role. Practical experience suggests that one liter of StoneprotecT SP5000 can cover approximately 80 to 120 square feet (10 to 12 square meters) of concrete stone.

Surfaces sealed with SP5000 can be resealed at any time if the visible effect wears off, as the sealant within the stone will remain fully effective even when the visible lotus effect is no longer recognizable. Reapplying to the surface will regain the visible effect as needed.

Stones treated with StoneprotecT SP5000 maintain their high-quality appearance for longer. The water-repellent surface prevents dirt from penetrating the stones, and moisture penetration is reduced. Cleaning is made easier, and the surface dries out within minutes, allowing for immediate loading and walking.

StoneprotecT SP5000 can be applied on top of an existing sealer, provided the previous sealing was also done with StoneprotecT. However, if the stones have been treated with third-party products, these must first be completely removed, as the ingredients of the other products may prevent bonding.

The unique nanotechnology in StoneprotecT SP5000 produces the well-known lotus effect, allowing dirt to be removed from the stone surface much more easily. In the best case, the sealant will effectively protect the stones from accumulating dust and dirt for many months or even years. The visible effect may be less pronounced and last for a shorter time on horizontal surfaces, such as garage driveways, compared to vertical surfaces like walls, where the effect has been observed to last for up to 8 years.

StoneprotecT SP5000 can also be applied to open-pored, absorbent, and unsealed facade surfaces, such as plaster facades. However, it is important to note that the sealant is a stone and concrete sealer, not an algaecide. Therefore, it does not remove green deposits, moss, or algae from the stone. Prior to applying SP5000, any existing green deposits should be treated with a suitable anti-green, anti-algae product.

To store StoneprotecT SP5000, keep the sealer in a cool, frost-free place and ensure the canister is tightly closed, especially if it has been opened. The sealant can be stored for up to 2 years, and it is recommended to shake the container well before use.
