Penetrating Concrete Sealer for Driveways, Patios, Sidewalks

MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer is an architectural grade, silane/siloxane blended product designed to bond with the minerals in concrete and masonry, providing long-lasting water repellency. This breathable, non-film forming sealer is ideally suited for concrete where maximum chloride ion (de-icing salts) protection is needed, without altering the surface color or appearance.

Formulated to protect most horizontal, exterior, above-grade concrete surfaces, MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer is suitable for use on residential driveways, patios, or sidewalks. The natural substrate color and surface textures remain unaffected, with little to no gloss created. Slight darkening may occur on dense surfaces, so testing is recommended before treating any surface to ensure the desired results.

This product is designed to protect concrete driveways, sidewalks, and patios once they have been properly cleaned with MasonryDefender All Purpose Masonry & Concrete Cleaner. Our 1 gallon of Concrete Driveway Sealer can cover a range from 90-150 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on surface porosity. Before applying, ensure the surface is completely clean and allowed to dry for at least 6 hours.

Using the MasonryDefender Concrete Sealer fully protects your driveway while brightening its appearance. It guards against cracking and pitting caused by moisture seeping into the concrete over time. After application, water will bead on the surface instead of seeping in, causing further damage. Future maintenance will be much easier, simply requiring the clearing of dirt, pollen, mildew, or leaves with a broom or garden hose. The treated concrete driveway, patio, or sidewalk will be fully protected from mold, mildew, and moisture, eliminating the need for frequent, time-consuming power washing.

When applying the Concrete Sealer, ensure the air and driveway temperature is a minimum of 40°F and a maximum of 100°F for three hours following application. Use a low-pressure pump-up garden sprayer to apply a thin, even layer, allowing the surface to remain wet for 2-3 minutes before final absorption. Avoid puddling or ponding, and spread the material until the sealer thoroughly penetrates the surface. The treated area will be dry in 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity, and can be driven on after 24 hours.
